The Queen of racing, Enable, once again confirmed she is one of the best mares in the history of racing with a phenomenal 10th Gr.1 victory when landing the Yorkshire Oaks at York today.

This superstar daughter of Nathaniel will now bid to achieve an historic hat-trick in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for owner-breeder Khalid Adbullah.

Trainer John Gosden said: “She wasn’t at her best in the Arc last year but if she goes back to the form she showed when she won the race at three, which she looked like she was showing today, then she’ll be mighty tough to beat.

“Enable has this amazingly competitive mind and a wonderful constitution.  She’s a wonderful racemare.  It was a gorgeous performance. She cruised around and really quickened. She really turned it on and Frankie was not hard on her.”

This was a second win in the Yorkshire Oaks for Enable, following up her success in the Gr.1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot last month.

Jockey Frankie Dettori had tears in his eyes and said: “I love her so much. I haven’t lost with her yet and we’ve won everything. She’s amazing, uncomplicated, has great presence and a massive engine. Everybody doubts her but she just keeps on winning.”

Enable is out of the Juddmonte Farms’ Stakes winning mare Concentric, also the dam of Gr.2 Prix de Pomone and Gr.3 Prix Allez France-placed Contribution and Gr.3 Tattersalls Musidora Stakes second Entitle.  Out of the Gr.3 Prix de Royaumont winer Apogee, Concentric is a full-sister to the Gr.2 Prix de Royallieudam winner Dance Routine.  She in turn produced the multiple top-level scorer and champion Flintshire.
