The Newsells bred Tapisserie came from last to first with a powerful burst to win going away the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Eternal Stakes over 7f at Carlisle yesterday.

This three-year-old filly was following up her comfortable success in a Novice Stakes at Salisbury earlier this month having made her racecourse debut in April for trainer William Haggas and owner Isa Salman.  She looks a very exciting prospect to follow this season.

Jockey Paul Hanagan, said: “I rode Tapisserie of on her debut at Doncaster and I liked her then and she’s taken another step forward.”

Bred and sold by Newsells Park Stud, Tapisserie was sold for 130,000gns as a yearling at the Tattersalls October Book 2 Sale when knocked down to John and Jake Warren.  By Le Havre, she is out of the Listed Marygate Stakes winner Miss Work Of Art (Dutch Art), a half-sister to Gr.3 performer Romantic Settings.
