A diamond new Stakes winner for Nathaniel

18/08/2024

Kammuri Diamond’s success in the Listed Preis von Volkswagen Automobile Hannover (Steher Stutenpreis) at Hannover Racecourse today provided her sire Nathaniel with a new Stakes winner.

Trained by Carmen Bocskal for owner Stall Blue Diamond, the four-year-old filly won this race over 2400m by one and three quarter lengths having raced mid division before advancing ahead of the field in turning for home. Last month, she also finished fourth in the Listed Japan Racing Association Trophy at Hamburg.

Bred by Gestut Westerberg, Kammuri Diamond is out of the four-time winner Kellemoi de Pepita (Hawk Wing), a half sister to the Stakes performer Noisy Silence. She is from the family of Gr.1 winning sires Miner’s Mark, Traditionally and Personal Flag.

Nathaniel has now sired 74 Stakes horses including 9 Gr.1 winners, most notably 11-time Gr.1 winner Enable, 2024 Classic Irish Oaks winner You Got To Me, and the 2022 Classic Gr.1 Epsom Derby victor Desert Crown.
