A’Ali’s star filly Ali Shuffle followed up her debut race victory at Redcar just over a week ago with further success today in the EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes at Beverley, even carrying a penalty.
Always doing enough this two-year-old filly is proving an exciting prospect for trainer Karl Burke and owners Nick Bradley Racing 5 & E Burke, also picking up a second £20,000 GBB Bonus for connections.
Trainer Karl Burke said: “An obvious one for the Marygate Stakes next, with Royal Ascot thereafter.”
Ali Shuffle was bred by Bickmarsh Stud out of the Oasis Dream mare Always Dreaming, a half-sister to Gr.3 Darley Stakes winner Feliciana De Vega and the daughter of Along Came Casey, a dual Listed winner from the family of July Cup and Nunthorpe winner Stravinsky. She was purchased by the Burke family for 32,000gns from Bickmarsh Stud at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 last year.
A’Ali’s first crop are also taking off at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale this week with his first breezer realising 100,000gns, a colt out of Ellery Lane sold to Ger Lyons Racing consigned by CF Bloodstock.
A’Ali was also a smart and fast juvenile having won three Gr.2 races as a two-year-old including the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, Prix Robert Papin and Flying Childers. As a three-year-old he went on to land the Gr.3 Coral Charge and Gr.2 Sapphire Stakes. The son of a Champion First-Season Sire in Society Rock, A’Ali stands at Newsells Park Stud for £5,000 1st Oct SLF.
