First-crop winning double for Without Parole

22/09/2024

Without Parole enjoyed a first-crop winning double yesterday with Sea To Sky an impressive winner at Newmarket and Lazieelunch winning his third race on the trot at Wolverhampton.

Sea To Sky delivered in style in the Turners British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes over a mile at Newmarket with a two and a half lengths success for trainer Ralph Beckett and owner/breeders John and Tanya Gunther.

A promising second on her debut at Sandown, Sea To Sky, is out of the Sea The Stars mare Beyond The Sea, a Gr.3 performing half-sister to Gr.1 American Oaks winner Competitionofideas out of Gr.3 US winner Devil By Design.

The two-year-old filly is Without Parole’s ninth winner and looks like an exciting prospect to follow.

Lazieelunch was anything but lazy when striking with a comfortable victory in the Weatherbys Nursery Handicap at Wolverhampton for owners Ignited and trainer Sean Woods. It was his third success in a row having previously won at Kempton and Lingfield within the last six weeks.

Bred by The Pocock family and John Gunther, he is out of Silver Link (Arcano), and was purchased by Dwayne Woods at the Tattersalls October Book 2 Sale for 42,000gns.
