Nathalie Albin-Jacobs appointed Chairman of Newsells Park Stud

05/07/2019

Nathalie Albin-Jacobs, youngest daughter of the late Klaus J. Jacobs, has taken over as a Chairman from Andreas Jacobs. Andreas Jacobs will remain on the board of directors of Newsells Park Stud and with his knowledge and experience continue to contribute to its further development.

Nathalie Albin-Jacobs said: “I’m very proud and excited to be able to continue the Jacobs family tradition at Newsells. I would like to thank Andreas for his great work and dedication over the last 10 years and I’m looking forward to working with him and the Newsells team to write the next chapter of this unique success story.”

Newsells Park Stud has enjoyed a growing reputation as a thoroughbred nursery since its reformation in 2000, breeding or rearing 11 Group 1 winners since that time, with no less than 4 Group 1 winners coming off the Stud in 2018 alone.

At the same time Newsells Park Stud has become an increasingly commercial force at the major European yearling sales.  In 2013, Newsells Park Stud set a new European record for the sale of a yearling colt, when the Galileo colt, subsequently named Sir Isaac Newton realised 3.6 million Guineas at the Tattersalls Book 1 sale.  In 2018, the Stud set a new record at the Tattersalls October Sales with total aggregate sales in Book 1 of over 11 million Guineas and total sales at the October Sales of over £15 million.
